In the Room Survey app, you can add a pre-wall, also known as an internal wall, stud wall, partition wall or curtain wall, into your plan. Once a pre-wall has been added to the plan, it can then be edited.
In Room mode:
- Under Platforms, press and hold the Add pre-wall icon:
- Drag and drop the pre-wall into the desired location.
Editing a pre-wall
You can now adjust the position and dimensions of the pre-wall using the menu located on the right side of the screen, under the headings Positioning and Platform.
Positioning
Under Positioning, you can adjust the location of the pre-wall by using the icons.
Note: The Shift step length field determines the distance moved when using the Move selection up, Move selection down, Move selection left and Move selection right icons. The Rotate step length field determines the degrees rotated when using the Rotate selection left and Rotate selection right icons.
You can also access additional options under the tabs:
- Under the Position tab, you can adjust the height of the pre-wall by entering new values into the Top edge to ground and Low edge to ground fields.
- Under the Rotation tab, you can use the icons to rotate and tilt the pre-wall.
Note: The Rotate step length field determines the degrees moved when using the Rotate selection left, Rotate selection right, Tilt left, Tilt right and Tilt forwards icons.
- Under the Size tab, you can adjust the dimensions of the pre-wall by entering new values into the Scale fields, Width, Height and Depth. You can also tap the padlock icon to retain the pre-walls current width, height and depth ratios. Tap the Reset scale button to return the pre-wall to its original size.
- Under the Measuring tab, you can tap the icons below Choose the wall measuring type, to select different measurements to be displayed.

Platform
Under Platform, you can adjust the dimensions of the pre-wall by entering new values into the Height, Length and Width fields.
You can also tap the Edit shape button. Using this tool:
- You can tap the measurements of the pre-wall, shown in blue, and enter a new value.
- You can press and drag the points, shown as red squares, to alter the shape of the pre-wall.
- You can add new points by double-tapping along the red dotted lines that outline the dimension of the pre-wall. You can delete points by tapping to select one and tapping the Delete icon in the Tool control dialog box:
- Under Tool control, in the dialog box located at the bottom right of the screen, you can use the icons to Cancel or Apply the changes.
