In the Room Survey app, you can enter wall area view, or surface view, to see a single surface in a 2D view. For example, walls, floors and ceilings. This function is also useful for adding a niche to a sloping ceiling. For more information, see Room Survey: How to add and edit a niche.
Entering wall area view
- Enter 3D view by tapping the View 3D icon:

Tap the desired wall, floor or ceiling.
Note: The currently selected surface will be highlighted by a dashed red line.
- In the Room Overview panel, located on the right of your screen, tap Enter wall area view.
Adjusting wall clearance
When in wall area view, users can use the slider, located at the top of the screen, to adjust the wall clearance. At a shorter distance, some elements may not be entirely visible, or the user may see a cross section of them.
