In the Room Survey app, you can add a door, or multiple doors, to a plan. Once a door is in the plan, it can then be edited.

In Room mode:
- Under Doors, tap a door to select it.
Note: You can abort by tapping the Undo/cancel icon:

Press and hold at the desired location along one of the walls in the plan.
You can move their finger to reposition the door.
Note: A preview of the door location will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.

Move your finger to one side of the dashed black line to position the door hinges to open outwards or inwards, and release to confirm.

Press and hold again, moving your finger to one side of the dashed black line to position the door hinges on the left or the right.
Note: A preview of the open door will be highlighted by a dashed blue line.
- Release to confirm.
Editing a door
You can now alter the position and dimensions of the door using the menu located on the right side of the screen, under the headings Positioning and Door.
Positioning
Under Positioning, you can adjust the location of the door by using the icons or entering new values into the Space left and Space right fields.
| Note: The Shift step length field determines the distance moved when using the Move selection up, Move selection down, Move selection left and Move selection right icons. |
Door
Under Door, you can:
- Adjust the dimensions of the frame by entering new values into the Frame size, Frame Width and Inner width fields.
- Adjust the thickness of the door by entering a new value in the Door thickness field.
- Adjust the dimensions of a sliding door in the Rail thickness, Rail distance and Rail protrusion.
Note: These fields are only available for sliding doors.
- Tap the Hinged left / right button to toggle the door hinges from left to right.
- Tap the Hinged inner / outer button to toggle the door to open outwards or inwards.
- Tap the Door button to toggle the door Open or Closed.
