In the Room Survey app, the options under the View tab are used to adjust the appearance of your plan in Presentation mode. This is useful when you are creating your own viewpoints.
Under the View tab, you will see the View-settings, Visibility and Measurement tabs:
View-settings
In the View-settings dialog box, you can:
- Toggle Light effects on and off by ticking the box.
- Toggle Shadow on and off by ticking the box.
Note: Light effects are required to be on to toggle Shadow.
- Change the time of day using the Daytime slider.
- Adjust the brightness of lighting in the room by using the Room lights slider.
Note: The centre of the slider is 100%.
- Adjust the Incidence of light using the slider.
- Adjust the Field of view using the slider.
- Choose the Draw mode by tapping one of the icons, Standard, Edged, Edged (transparent) and Black/White.
Visibility
In the Visibility dialog box, you can:
- Tap the Inventory icons to alter the visibility of objects by switching between Visible, Shaded and Hidden.
- Tap the Platforms / components icons to alter the visibility of platforms by switching between Visible, Shaded and Hidden.
- Toggle the visibility of walls, objects embedded in walls and blocked areas by ticking the Hide wall automatically, Hide objects in walls automatically and Blocked areas boxes.
- Toggle the 2D appearance of objects on the ceiling, windows and doors, and the detail of windows and doors by ticking the Hide objects on the ceiling in 2D, Window opening areas in 2D, Door opening areas in 2D and Detailed windows/doors in 2D boxes.
Note: These settings only affect the 2D view of the plan.
- Toggle the visibility of labelling and lines by ticking the Labelling / lines box.
- Toggle the visibility of symbols in 2D and 3D view by ticking the Symbols (2D) and Symbols (3D) boxes.
- Toggle the visibility of Window/door properties in 2D by ticking the box.
Measurement
In the Measurement dialog box, you can:
- Toggle the visibility of measurements by ticking the Show Measuring box.
Note: If the Show Measuring box is ticked and set to on, the Manual measuring, Wall measuring and Automatic measuring, Window and door measuring, Pre-wall/Platform/Component measuring, Niche measuring, Inventory measuring and Symbol measuring boxes also become available and can then be toggled on or off by ticking the boxes.
