In the Room Survey app, you are able to use a Bluetooth laser rangefinder or laser measuring device to enter wall measurements.

Connecting a Bluetooth laser rangefinder
Note! Ensure your Bluetooth laser rangefinder is powered on, and that Bluetooth is on. Also ensure that your tablet has Bluetooth enabled. |
Open the Room Survey app:
- Select the Measurement tab and tap Connect device.
- In the Available laser measuring devices field, tap the name of your Bluetooth laser rangefinder to connect.
Note: It may take a minute until your device is found.
Using a Bluetooth laser rangefinder
Open the RoomSurvey app, or select File > New:
- In the Quick start assistant, select a room shape with the desired number of walls and tap Create new project.
- Tap a wall measurement, displayed as blue text.
- Use your Bluetooth laser rangefinder to measure the length of the corresponding wall. Once made, the measurement will be automatically entered into the selected measurement field.
- Once the first measurement has been entered, the next wall measurement clockwise will be automatically selected for input from your Bluetooth laser rangefinder.
Note: You can override this selection by selecting a different wall measurement. - Once you have taken all the required wall measurements, you can further edit the floorplan, for example by entering the wall angles. For more information, see Room Survey: How to edit walls.
